Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

Viewport Kit ("the extension") respects your privacy and handles only the minimum information necessary. This page explains what information the extension handles and how.

1. Information sent outside your computer

The only information the extension sends outside your computer is your Pro license key.

  • Your Pro license key: sent to the license verification API of Gumroad, Inc. (https://gumroad.com) when you enter and activate a license key, and about once a day to check that the license is still valid. It is used only to verify that your Pro license is valid.

For how Gumroad handles information, please see Gumroad's privacy policy.

2. Information handled only on your computer

The following is stored and processed only on your computer and is never sent anywhere:

  • Your settings (custom sizes, screenshot and recording preferences, window position, theme, etc.)
  • Your license key and its verification result
  • Screenshots and recordings you capture (saved to your Downloads folder)
  • The viewport size of the target tab and whether it has navigated to a new page (used only to resize and capture correctly; never recorded)
  • Diagnostic logs saved when a recording error occurs (saved to your Downloads folder only; never sent automatically)

3. Information we do not collect

The extension does not collect your browsing history, the content of the pages you visit, or any personally identifiable information. It does not perform any analytics or advertising tracking.

4. Sharing with third parties

Except as described in section 1, we never share or sell your information to third parties.

5. Deleting your information

Uninstalling the extension removes the settings and license information stored on your computer. You can delete saved screenshots and recordings from your Downloads folder yourself.

6. Changes to this policy

Any changes to this policy will be announced on this page.
